2022 Mods/U8-U12 

Ages: 7-11 year old boys and girls (Birth Year 2011 - 2015)

Practices at Lochsloy:  M/W or T/Th evenings beginning late July / early August

Games: Sat or Sun from Sept 10 thru Nov 13     

The Lake Stevens Soccer Club (LSSC) “Mod” Program (short for “modified”) is soccer whose rules have been modified to be more age/developmentally appropriate.  This translates into smaller field sizes, smaller balls, smaller goals, smaller teams, shorter halves and simplified rules.  Much care has been taken to ensure the modifications are age/developmentally appropriate and encourages a smooth transition to the full game of soccer, without sacrificing individual development along the way.

The Mod program is for boys and girls, U8 through U12.  (NOTE:  If you are not familiar with this notation, the U means under.  A child would be placed on a team in which all the children are “under” the “age” as of December 31st of the current year;  i.e. U8 teams are composed of children that are under the age of 8 on December 31 st of that year).
